Message from the President

In 1990’s, the idea was conceived that Xi Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. should create a separate and independent entity that would provide perpetual funding for lifelong learning. In 2002, that idea became a reality.

Currently, the Ivy League Educational & Charities Foundation is a powerful resource that pools resources of those who share the vision of finding excellence in education. The Foundation has awarded scholarships, issued grants for education in the areas of math & science, supported families, and community needs. The foundation has provided financial support to the American Cancer Institute, Houston Livestock & Rodeo, Greater Houston Frontiers, and the Planet Hope Foundation benefiting orphans and underprivileged children of the DePelchin Center, Bayou Land Conservancy, and a host of other beneficiaries.

The Ivy League Educational & Charities Foundation has awarded more than $150,000 in scholarships and community awards to individuals and community organizations.
